May 2010 Happenings

On May 1, 2010 we opened my solo exhibition at the Pearce Museum in Texas. After a short 16 hour drive we arrived in Corsicana which is south of Dallas. We had lots of local publicity and I was interviewed on East Texas Live, which is affiliated with NBC news station.
The Cook Center on Navarro College Campus where the Pearce Western Art  Collection and Civil War Museum are  located.

I felt very honored to have my artwork hanging with such distinguished Western Artists as Terpening, Molnar, Coleman, Swanson, Snidow, just to name a few. The Pearce Western Art Collection is incredible, a must see for anyone visiting the Dallas area.

A huge thank you for Holly Beasley Wait, Director, Heather Turner, Archivist, and Allison Chew, Art Curator for doing such a spectacular job with the exhibit and turning this into a gala event. Doug and DM, couldn't have done it without too.

Charles Pearce, one of America 's foremost collectors of Western Art,  personally chose one on my oil paintings “Wrestling with Innocence” for the Pearce Museum 's prestigious permanent collection. (top photo, painting on left) On the bottom photo happens to be one incredible framer, my husband Keith, who did a wonderful job of custom framing the 12 exhibition pieces.
